Educational ProgramLaurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is proud to have New Day Academy as its state-supported, K-12th grade school on our facility grounds. Program Details
The official curriculum is guided and based upon the Alabama Standards of Learning and while at Laurel Oaks, students can earn academic credits that can be transferred to their home school upon discharge. We also offer a summer program from the end of June through August. We believe that a child should be able to maximize his/her education in a nurturing and positive based, child-focused environment. These programs are designed to provide the highest level of direct patient care that is possible, which includes physical, social, spiritual, medical and psychotherapeutic treatment interventions. Vocational Projects, and individual tutoring. Highly qualified and
carefully selected educators provide the academic instruction for
all of the children and adolescents admitted to our inpatient
